Come to get your questions about the cosmos answered and stay for beer and casual discussion with the world’s top cosmologists.
Do you have burning questions about our universe? About the big bang and what preceded it? The nature of time? Our place in the cosmos? Then this event is for you! Held in a casual setting at Amplified Aleworks in East Village San Diego we will bring together cosmologists from all over the world working on the world class Simons Observatory to answer all of your questions. We will have two forums for discussion with the Observatory scientists:
6:30 -7:30 pm: Panel Discussion — 4 cosmologists, including me, will take a combination of predetermined questions and solicited questions from the audience on topics in cosmology moderated by the Fleet Science Center.
7:30–9:00pm: Mingle with Cosmologists — The 4 panelists as well as approximately 30 other cosmologists will be available for small group more in depth discussions that weren’t quite answered during the hour long moderated panel.
Food & Drink: Appetizers but not a full dinner will be included with the ticket price so please arrange for dinner on your own. Drinks will not be provided in the ticket price but the Amplified Aleworks beer selection and full bar will open during the whole event to serve beer, wine, and cocktails (Cosmos, anyone).
